Competition Rules

Competition calls cost 50p per call and texts cost 50p plus your normal mobile operator charge. No purchase necessary. Alternatively you can enter free of charge by sending your answer on the back of a postcard together with your name, address and competition name to Newspaper Promotions, The Academy, 138 Bridge Street, Warrington, WA1 2RU or by emailing your answer, together with your name and address to competitions@guardiangrp.co.uk, stating the name of the competition in the emails subject line: the editor�s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into; entries must be received by the published closing date to be admissible. Telephone and text entries received after the closing time, will not be entered into the competition, but may still be charged; the winning entry will be the first correct entry drawn at random after the published date of the competition. Subsequent entries will then be drawn at random until there are enough entry winners to account for each prize; phone and text lines provided by Newsquest Media Group; employees (or relatives) of Newsquest (Cheshire / Merseyside) or the respective companies are not eligible to enter; the prizes offered are the sole responsibility of the companies taking part with the exclusion of Newsquest (Cheshire / Merseyside); torn, defaced or illegible entries will not be accepted; proof of posting does not provide proof of receipt; a list of winners will be provided on receipt of a written request and a stamped addressed envelope; winners may be asked to take part in post publicity for promotional purposes; if the competition is based on a token collection, tokens are available free of charge. Please apply for a token request to the Promotions Department at the above address, based on one token per application; Newsquest (Cheshire / Merseyside) accepts no liability for any loss, damage or injury caused by any prizes won. Any enquiries should be direct to the manufacturer or retailer; where Newsquest (Cheshire / Merseyside) offers prizes on behalf of an associated company, these prizes are provided in their entirety by these associated companies; Newsquest (Cheshire / Merseyside) cannot be held responsible for any failure to provide prizes as specified and all enquiries in reference to such prizes will be referred to the associated companies; any closing dates for the entries and/or rules of play which are published as part of any competition, promotion or game, form part of the rules for entry of the competition, promotion or game; no photocopies will be accepted; competitions open to residents residing in the Newsquest (Cheshire / Merseyside) only, unless otherwise stated; prizes are as stated, no alternative - cash or otherwise - will be available; no cash alternatives will be given; in circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Newsquest (Cheshire / Merseyside), the editor reserves the right, with absolute discretion, to disqualify any entry, add to or amend any rules, or to cancel the whole or part of any competition, game or promotion at any stage without prior notification. The decision of the editor on all matters relating to competitions will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. In the event of a discrepancy between these rules and those published alongside a particular competition, promotion or game, the editor�s decision will be final; any closing date for entries and/or rules of play which is published as part of any competition, promotion or game forms part of the rules of that competition, promotion or game; no purchase / payment is required unless stated; unless otherwise stated in competition-specific rules, competitions are open to entrants of all ages with the proviso entrants under the age of 16 have the permission of their parent or guardian; all entries received � including any photographs, if applicable � will be deemed to be the property of Newsquest (Cheshire / Merseyside) and cannot, as such, be returned; in some instances, entry to a competition, promotion or game may be made exclusively via the website(s) of Newsquest (Cheshire / Merseyside); competition entries will be assessed for market analysis by Newsquest (Cheshire / Merseyside) and then destroyed. Competition entries will not be passed on to a third party, for any reason whatsoever unless otherwise indicated in the competition concerned at the time of publication. Competition winners should receive their prize within six weeks of being notified that they have won.
