A STUNNING volley from Stephen Gleeson earned County a 1-1 draw on Sunday evening's play-off semi final at Wycombe.

And with the second leg to come at a packed Edgeley Park, County are urging their Blue and White Army to snap up the remaining tickets and roar the Hatters on to Wembley.

Gleeson's wonder strike, which came eight minutes from time, cancelled out a Delroy Facey's first-half goal when the striker capitalised on a rare mistake by Hatters 'keeper John Ruddy.

The half-time introduction of Gleeson for the injured Dominic Blizzard revitalised Jim Gannon's men and, inspired by their quite magnificent travelling army, dominated much of the second 45 minutes.

But, with time running out and seemingly heading for a 1-0 defeat, Gleeson struck.

A spell of pressure ended with a Wycombe defender heading clear. The 19-year-old midfielder didn't need a second invitation and he hit the ball from 25 yards to give the impressive Frank Fielding in the home goal no chance whatsoever.

Gleeson then disappeared under his teammates along with many fans who had leaped over the perimeter wall to join in the celebrations.

And it almost got even better for County when Liam Dickinson set up a close-range chance for Anthony Pilkington that Fielding turned around the post.

Stockport County are reminding fans that tickets for Saturday's promotion clash against Wycombe will not be available on the day of the game.
