New homes for sale at £75,000

GEORGE Wimpey Manchester has teamed up with Macclesfield Borough Council to launch a development in Macclesfield which includes 31 affordable homes that are exclusively for first time buyers.

Jasmine Park, situated off Whirley Road, will feature a range of affordable properties priced at just £75,250 for a two bedroom and £85,250 for a three bedroom. First time buyers will have to meet certain criteria in order to stand a chance of securing a new home at the development.

Buyers must initially fall into at least one of the following categories to qualify: work more than 20 hours per week in the Borough of Macclesfield, be a resident of the Borough of Macclesfield, or be a serving member of Her Majesty’s Forces.

George Wimpey sales and marketing director, Anthony Mansfield commented: “This scheme provides the perfect solution for first time buyers living or working in the local area who previously could not afford to buy their own home.

“Lower cost properties are often snapped up by investors, but this will not be the case here. By building the affordable homes at Jasmine Park in association with Macclesfield Borough Council, we will be giving a number of people an ideal opportunity to purchase their first home.”

George Wimpey will be hosting a pre-launch event this Saturday 6 December from 10am to 4pm at the Tytherington Club on Dorchester Road in Macclesfield where sales staff will be on hand to provide further details about Jasmine Park.

One of the many property types available at Jasmine Park is the two bedroom Madrid apartment. The property features an open plan lounge and kitchen area, bathroom and an en-suite to the master bedroom. All apartments come with an allocated parking space.

The Bowden three bedroom mews will appeal to those first time buyers looking for a bit more space. The ground floor comprises a hall, cloakroom, lounge, kitchen and dining room with French doors that open out onto the rear garden. The first floor features three bedrooms, one with en-suite and a family bathroom.

Jasmine Park is situated just a short distance from Macclesfield town centre. The cobbled streets and quaint buildings are home to a wide variety of shops and boutiques. Macclesfield, as well as the surrounding picturesque villages of Alderley Edge, Bollington and Prestbury, benefits from a number of fine restaurants, pubs and wine bars.

The area has an abundance of local leisure facilities including parks, golf courses and leisure centres. Jasmine Park’s Macclesfield location also provides excellent train links to Manchester and London and easy access to the motorway network for commuters.
