THE Tory's candidate who'll run for office at the next General Election had a miraculous escape from a serious car accident this morning.
Ben Jeffreys, a teacher from Bramhall, was on his way to work in Lymm when he span on black ice on the A56, near Knutsford.
His car left the carriageway, smashed through a fence, hit a tree in a wooded area, before rolling 360 degrees. Ben walked away from the smash with no injuries, but was taken to Warrington General Hospital for a check over. Cheshire police later confirmed there'd been nine other accidents on the same stretch of the A56 alone this morning.
Ben said: "This is yet another reminder of the importance of road safety measures. I'm just lucky to be > alive.
"Somebody somewhere is obviously keeping an eye on me!"
