Ransome & Marles 195-7 v The Tytherington Club. Match abandoned.
It was a familiar story for The Tytherington Club on Sunday as their weather jinx struck again in Nottinghamshire - no play possible after the end of the Ransome & Marles innings.
Tytherington have only managed to complete one of five scheduled Women's Premier League North matches this year.
Tytherington had largely tamed the threat of a formidable batting line-up. In their last League fixture, national club champions Ransome amassed 347 runs.
Although Amanda Bacon and Lily Roberts added 77 for the first wicket, they did so at little more than three per over, with Kate Skelhorn's seven over opening spell of 0-14 particularly impressive.
Wickets for Lorna Thomas and Katie Paterson plus two run-outs saw Tytherington gain the upper hand at 105-4. Bacon fell for 53, before Ransome restored control with a stand of 76 in 14 overs between veteran England wicketkeeper Jane Smit and Rebecca Scholes.
Back came Tytherington once more with three wickets in the final overs, Skelhorn finally getting her just desserts with two wickets, including Smit for 51.
